Reusable nappies also known as “cloth nappies, washable nappies or even real nappies”. They come in all kinds of colours, fabrics, sizes and formats.
At Eco-Homemaker we want to make it as easy as possible for you to decide which cloth nappies to go with. Having been through the process ourselves, we know how daunting and confusing it is when choosing not only the nappy brand, but the nappy type, and then all the accessories which go with it. Trust us, while it all seems overwhelming at first, once you’ve got your kit, it’s a journey you won’t regret.
Our Newborn to Potty Trained All-in-Kit (12 reusable nappies) is the equivalent of 6000+ disposable nappies.
We’ve compiled three kits based on our own experience over the past 2 years with our two children.
For our first child we finally took the plunge when he was 9 months, after hours of research (and putting it off!), and now he is potty trained but still wears a reusable during his nap! With our second we took the leap of faith from about 2 months.
That being said, we are still looking for reusables that work consistently overnight, so have instead been using biodegradable disposables to ensure zero hassle. (See Disposable Nappies in menu bar)
For babies, we have selected the Little Lamb Bamboo nappies due to their superior softness and eco-credentials.

*Choice of patterns/ colours
Little Lamb nappies are made in a family run factory in Turkey and are brought into the UK by road freight to ensure they keep their carbon footprint to a minimum, giving you peace of mind.
The nappies are computer-cut from nappy patterns to minimise wastage. About 10% waste material is left over but as Little Lamb manufacture in an area with periphery trades all the wastage is recycled, usually into stuffed toys.
OEKO-TEX 100 certified bamboo yarn and GOTS organic cotton yarn.
All the component parts of these nappies, wraps and boosters are OEKO-TEX certified for use in full contact with baby's skin for prolonged periods of time.
